"Bridge" encompasses a hand-crafted jacket and a video documentation of a dance performance wearing the jacket. This was exhibited as an installation piece.

This installation was exhibited in December 2019 in the Studio Space, Treforest Campus, University of South Wales.

Bridge was formed in response to exploring the concept of Boundaries. I wanted to connect the worlds of art and dance by creating a jacket that could link the two like a bridge. The main inspiration for this project came from Nick Cave's Soundsuits,

"I present to you a hand-crafted jacket which represents how I created a bridge between my world as an artist and my passion for dance.

 

I invite you to experience the union of performance and art through my work. The movement in the video was intuitive and I followed the movements of the material rather than trying to control the material. The material taught me where to go and flow"
